Visit Cultural Centre Poleeni on the lush shore of the lake Pieksäjärvi. Poleeni is a well-known architectural and tourist destination which is called the living room of the inhabitants of Pieksämäki. It has become one of the gems of the town thanks to its location and versatile offerings.
Kulttuuripappila Sylvi (cultural vicarage) with its changing exhibitions, attic with toys and outdoor events is a summer cultural tourism centre. Children’s summer oasis Nukkekoti is already 25 years old. Children may participate in guided workshops and moments of activity in Nukkekoti. Also the environment of the house tempts to adventures.
Savon Radan museo (railway museum) at the railway station familiarizes visitors in an interesting way with the history of Pieksämäki as the junction of railways. Special museums are also the museum demonstrating social work of the church at the institutes of the Educational Centre Agricola as well as the village school “museum” of Kylmämäki. Pupils did learn also earlier!
