Project objectives: CWEB -project is planned to support secondary level
studies of information technology, on-the-job-learning opportunities and
international skills of vocational students. Project will focus on
improving employment opportunities and motivating students for better
career achievements and skills through international studies. Companies
are provided with assisting in information technology and support for
their international activities. Project will bring vocational training and
business life closer together.

Project actions: Students will create a commercial website for Eastern
Finland and Vilnius region SME companies for improving and developing
international business contacts and marketing opportunities.

Hosting partner in Vilnius will introduce 2 SME companies to the project,
coordinate business contacts and undertake a quality commitment for study
content, environment and circumstances during the placement period, and
also provide further language and culture lessons along the information
technology studies. Pieksämäki Vocational College (Keski-Savo Institute of
Vocational Studies) will introduce 2 local companies and 1 Estonian
company to the project.

The web site is planned to remain functional and develop from a basic
contact site to an actual commercial site. Web site itself and all the
material produced will be used for teaching and reference material.
Maintaining of the web site and company profile information and update is
carried out by Pieksämäki Vocational College information technology
students until the end of year 2007.
